Writing Tip — 43

Sometimes when working on a story, a bolt hits you from the blue. This bolt holds an idea for a new story and character and no matter how hard you try to ignore it, it won’t go away. I had that happen to me back in 2013. This led to volumes one and two of the Ravynwyng Chronicles Universe.

If you are hit by a bolt of this nature, give in and start writing. If you really need to complete the work you are currently doing, then write a quick synopsis of your new idea and character or  a short outline and set it aside.
